Thrive Nutrition Services contracted with the Bon Homme School District in 2010. Since then, Thrive has provided our district with a greater variety of foods and more home cooked style foods than our previous food service provider. We would highly recommend Thrive to any school district who would be interested in changing their current food service program. Thrive implemented their transition plan in year one working with us and the switch was seamless. Since then their team of cooks, kitchen management, dieticians, managers and owners have continued to provide quality service in the ever-changing school meal program. We have had no concerns the past four years, but had any concerns arisen, we know Thrive’s management would have dealt with those concerns in a very timely manner. They keep us informed and check in on a regular basis to make sure things are running smoothly
Help SNF Unlock Vital Funding
Created 3 years ago
This month, the School Nutrition Foundation (SNF) is participating in an exciting fundraising opportunity—and SNA members and friends can help with the simple click of the mouse! SNF, the philanthropic sister organization of the School Nutrition Association, hopes to “unlock” $10,000 in “KIND Causes” funding.
KIND Causes is a program of the KIND Foundation, which supports initiatives aimed at making the world a little kinder. Each month, KIND grants $10,000 to campaigns that will spread kindness to those in need. The entry that receives the most votes on the KIND Causes’ website will receive the funding. Voting for SNF is simple. Click here to access the SNF voting page. Each vote brings us a step closer to receiving the grant. Share the link with coworkers, friends and family so that SNF has the most votes at the end of the month!
You can also share it via social media to reach the widest possible audience. SNF has drafted a sample post: Help @beyondbreakfast or tag Facebook.com/schoolnutritionfoundation, change the world & receive $10k from The KIND Foundation started by @kindsnacks! Visit http://bit.ly/2xrakud to vote. Even better, when you vote on the SNF’s KIND page, you will be asked to make a simple commitment to doing a “kind act” or other good deed.
From showing kindness to a stranger to helping a child learn to ride a bike, small acts like these can have a BIG impact. School nutrition professionals know the value and power of paying it forward. What will SNF do with the KIND grant funding? This money will help SNF in its efforts to support school nutrition professionals in their efforts to expand student access to “one million more school meals.” This includes identifying innovative best practices—ideas at work—that improve school meal participation, developing short inspirational videos about these innovations and sharing the videos across the nation. The clock is ticking. It’s September 12 and voting ends on September 30. Click and share today!
